Actually, maybe, kinda, sorta, no one has actually asked me anything. But, I’ll give you some answers anyway.

Q: What is PhotAugust?

A: PhotAugust is a challenge for anyone with any remote interest in photography at all. Also, it’s a way to share your work with the world. Remember to use the hashtags #photaugust and #photaugust2019 if you want to make it easy for people to find.  You don’t have to post online or share it with anyone at all, but it would be cool to see what you’ve captured.

Q. When is PhotAugust?

A: PhotAugust takes place throughout the month of August. Post your first PhotAugust pictures on August 1st and your last on the 31st.

Q: Why is PhotAugust?

A: It may not be a grammatically correct question, but it’s a question nonetheless. One day in the car, my brother and I were inspired by our dad’s idea of Januwordy (you should totally check that out, too). We came up with words such as BroVember (hang out with a new friend each day and post a selfie), MacraMay (this one is a given), and FeBREWary (latte art, not our proudest moment). Then, we came up with PhotAugust, and I was just, like, “That has to happen.”

Q: Is this a contest?  Are there prizes?

A: Well, there are no prizes, but I’m still totally gonna kick butt.

Q: I’m not a pro.  Is this for me?

A: Absolutely.  I’m not either (though I’d like to be someday).  This is for anyone, I repeat anyone, to partake in. This is definitely for you.

Q: Who are you?

A: My name is Charlie Isaacs.  I am not a pro in the slightest. I just saved up enough money to buy my first DSLR, I chose the Rebel EOS T6, and I prefer Canon to Nikon. I’m starting 8th grade this month, I have a bunny, her name is Finnley, named after Alaska the Last Frontier (you should watch it), and my favorite book series is the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus/Trials of Apollo series.
